‘From one state to another (1) & (2)’. In doing these works, I had no comprehensive plans. The paintings evolved very quickly. For (1), when I felt intuitively it was finished, I stepped back and was surprised to see images to do with chaos on one side and order on the other-linked by what can easily be interpreted as a swinging pendulum. Even the hanging lines provoked ideas of destruction and salvation; metaphors for boundary objects, or edges as mentioned above.
